Battlefield: Bad Company Weapons Pay-To-Play?

Have a look at what one beta tester found while digging into the Battlefield: Bad Company weapons unlock screen on his XBox360.

Quote:
When glancing through the multiplayer beta for Electronic Arts' upcoming Xbox 360 shooter Battlefield: Bad Company last night I noticed something odd in the title's "Unlocks" section: Ten of the unlockable weapons are tagged with notes saying "Buy this weapon on Xbox Live Marketplace."

According to the statistics graph, the for-cash weaponry doesn't seem to be more any powerful than the other high-end guns. But the beta won't be playable until later this month, so we can't be sure.
Hmmm...suck? Me thinks so if this is true.

Yeah but Battlefield 2: SF & Battefield 2142 added unlocks for the most part; and people were more than willing to fork out cash for those...

SF included new maps, models, vehicles, and other assorted things making it toatally worth it.

This on the otherhand is just EA being greedy.

Dude the VSS was the most reviled addition to BF1942 Desert Combat. It was so accurate, so powerful, and so cheap.

Huge Saiga whore here.

They can't honestly charge that much.

NOTE: I said honestly. EA isn't really an honest company, though.

Lets face it though. very few people played SF for the new maps, models, and vehicles...

Hell i remember a point where there were only 2 SF servers which where ever populated..
