Review of ABS Gaming Chair
Looks Like Darth Vaders throne, if he was on a budget
I'm sure some of you have some form of low sitting gamer seat or another... if nothing more than a beanbag chair
This ABS Chair is pretty neat, surprisingly sturdy feeling, once it is put together that is, as the plastic parts are extremely light. Although the actual "equilibrium" of this chair changes alot with the weight and build of the person using it. When I really slouch in it the chair stays down and its really comfortable. Rather than padding it just uses stretched fabric, attached to either side of the chair with stretchy strap things.
Although they admit the chair isn't bulletproof, as in the instructions it says to put on this "power strap" which is basically a fabric strap squeezing the two rocker legs closer together... said it was "recommended for users more than 175 pounds". I don't weigh that much but figured I might as well put it on as I wouldn't put it past myself to decide to take a running jump down into the thing one day.
Looks pretty decent, the fabrics come in red, grey and whatever color is underneath the wad of duct tape stuck on the outside of the box mine came in. The chair is just branded ABS if you buy it off newegg
here they just give you a random color. I actually got lucky and got a neat blue/grey Core 2 extreme logo fabric cover.
In some retail furniture stores you can expect to pay about 90 bucks for one, Newegg has it for 99.99 free shipped.... overall I'd say not really worth the price. Mine was bundled free with the case I used for my new PC build, so not bad... its a neat thing to have.
Oh and I think, all in all, the reviewer right below me on newegg summed it up best:
