I've been out of the console world since the N64 the main game I played for it was Goldeneye. I purchased a Wii months ago, just because they seemed to have all the "novelty" type qualities of the NES and I wanted to be able to play along with my wife.
Its almost level playing ground playing with her on the Wii. She enjoys them as much as I do and can many times own me in Wii sports. I've also go her hooked on Guitar Hero which we will be buying GH3 for the Wii soon as well. The first person shooters that I play on PC are just too fast paced and complicated for her and besides that, it would require me to build her an near equally powerful PC and a second copy of each game just so we could play together.
If I can play all the high end over the top graphics type games on my PC, then why would I need an expensive PS3 or 360? The Wii is priced right and innovative. I really hope Nintendo keeps pwning the market and serves as an example for future gaming systems.
