I find this one of the most outrageous claim ever. You've got to be kidding me... sure people sit around and play video games, but more people go out and eat their big mac which is what? 1000 calories! with a large fry.. another 700 calories + salt. You just can't put the blame on video games when it has been proven that McDonald's and other fast food places are the main contributor to obesity in the United States. In the cities, you can find one on every block, and they are cheap good tasting food which appeals to the largest percent of the population.

great picture.

Computers, in general, have made us more sedentary, but it's the food that makes us fat.

Computers + McDonalds = fat
TV + McDonalds = fat
Anything + McDonalds = fat

Hmmmm. What's the common denominator?

thats a load of croc playing games helps me lose weight im trying to get back in shape for basketball this fall at jmu and when i play games it helps me take my mind off of food and concentrate on pwning

Edit: the pic did not load up first but that pic always makes me laugh and sick at the same time

Exactly. He can't but the blame specifically on video games, basically anything technological that makes humans less physical work has the same effect.

and lol at people blaming people for getting fat for anything other than eating for and not exercising (minus those people who's bodies don't work correctly in processing food).

People are just stupid.

Yeah that pic is great. What next, PC manufacturors being sued by parents for a childs obesity? Err.... maybe I shouldn't have said that. There are plenty of nutjobs who'd try it I'm sure. I can just see the lawyer now..

The mall in Ohio (cannot remember the name but it was a huge outside mall) but thier mcdonalds had a playstation and gamecube in their lmao i played it after eating and after i got finish i was hungry again.lmao lil kids were pissed because i was hogging super smash bros up on the gamecube lols

No one can accurately make the generalization that video games make you fat. Sure WoW has probably not helped the obesity levels, but DDR, if you dont know what it is, is actually being used at my old high school as a weight loss after school program. Theres even been issues where student were not allowed to attend it, because they were losing too much weight too fast from playing the game.
