Well, maybe he didn't actually defend the game, but by the statement, he sided with EA. Still didn't expect that from him.

maybe trying to make it seem like he isnt a bad guy? take advantage of someone elses mistake to make your case stronger. if he slams someone who makes a false claim in some peoples eyes it may make him seem more knowledgeable about games
