1Up's The Most Useless Power-Ups in Videogames List

1UP has an interesting, but brief list of games and their useless power-ups that are in the games, such as the Tanooki Suit from super Mario Bros. 3.

Interesting list of items, had the ones that I would have figured (Sonic's shoes, Snakes Cigs) and some that I would have never thought of (the Hammer wtf?).

yeah the hammer in donkey kong was absolutely useless. you get it kill maybe one baddy and then it eats up your bonus points because you can't get to the next level with the hammer

I don't remember what it's called, just go to smash bros dojo and find out all about it.

Basically you just throw it at guys, it hits for 1% damage, and goes "honk!"...it's actually pretty funny, I've gotten into laughing fits from just bullshitting in classic mode with it -- actually trying to ko and enemy with it takes forever!
