IGN: Most Anticipated PC Games At This Year's E3

A few days ago the folks at IGN came up with a list of their most anticipated PC titles for this year's E3 expo. Since more than a few of them are on our radars around here, have a look see at some of their choices.

7) Left 4 Dead

It's crazy, but even though we've played the same Left 4 Dead demo over and over again for the past year, we simply can't get enough of this cooperative online shooter. The best way to describe Left 4 Dead is sort of like you being one of the Army soldiers in the horror movie 28 Weeks Later. Sure, you and your buddies have got automatic weapons, but there's an ocean of zombies hurtling at you. Have fun.

3) Far Cry 2
Genre: First-person shooter
Developer: N/A
Publisher: N/A
Yeah, it's a sequel, but don't expect Far Cry 2 to be anything like the original. First off, it's a different developer. Ubisoft took over from Crytek, and the sequel seems set to offer an interesting take on open-world first-person shooter mechanics in the vein of something like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. With a wide assortment of upgradeable weaponry, a dynamic narrative, and stunning visuals, we're hoping this game lives up to its potential.

Their numero uno pick was pretty good too. We have some good games on the way lads, better upgrade those video cards soon!

E3? What is this "Convention" do you speak of? I remember the people in the past talking about it as a great festival of grandeur, but this seems to be meet with less excitement than the Orange Box release.

i'm looking forward to L4D, just learned of it today!
Starcraft2 is on the top of my list, then Gears of War 2 and God of War 3, though i dunno if i can play gow3 with no ps3 ! =\
i will probably pick up spore as well.

Fallout 3 and Red Alert 3 are my top picks. My friend has been dying to play empire total war, and left for dead looks pretty boss.

OMFG, i am so pumped for Fallout 3, but otherwise im looking forward to L4D, Far Cry 2, Crysis Warhead and Empire: Total War.

they announced after last years convention that e3 was shutting down, and is now just going to be for media types.


i cant wait for fallout3 and left 4 dead. and rise of the argonauts and alpha protocol look cool too.

Left 4 Dead is only 7? Hmm. Considering valve's track record and their amazing skillz to develop long term multiplayer games you would think this would be a lot higher. Far Cry 2 should be number 7.
