Well, not like they'd embrace wired internet.
But Delta is the first airline to offer wireless internet (in some places, as soon as next month) for domestic flights.
They're doing it with huge antennas on mountaintops across the nation. I have no idea how good it will be, or how fast.
Naturally, it'll cost you. $9.95 for a 3 hour flight or less, and $12.95 for over 3 hours. Service provided by Aircell.
Expect more airlines to join in to compete.
I would expect a MONSTER internet filter, so Joe Businessman isn't watching... say the AVN channel... while sitting next to little Bobby Sue. Or Bobby.
Still no cell phones, but what about Skype? Are you going to run uTorrent on the plane? How about a monthly plan for business travelers? How fast could it be? Lots of questions...
