I had the chance to play Rock Band on a demo unit in Walmart. I'm not impressed. The drums are a complete joke. I play actual acoustic drums, but c'mon...these things suck. I'm not fond of electronic drumsets, but they are playable. I might as well beat drumsticks on top of a wooden desk instead of using these pieces of crap...it would be more fun.
I was able to get an almost perfect score on expert. GH is still difficult even if you play an actual guitar, but you would have to completely lack rhythm to not be able to master the drum kit on this game. You beat on 4 pads... wow.
The guitar is nothing special either, but I can see people buying it to play it, but not much else. IMO Guitar Hero is more fun.
