With the stakes as high as they are, top gamers can't afford to get soft. In 2004, the top prize at the World Cyber Games was $400,000, while the top player, Fatal1ty, has earned over $500,000 in tournament play and his endorsement deals will likely soon surpass what he earns playing.

Outside of Fatality, I bet most people don't know more than 5 "Professionals" and the only reason that they know him is because Creative has a whole line of stuff with his endorsement. Oh yeah, and $400,000 which was the top prize, is just above the MLB league minimum.
