While that would be a fun retro event, seems it will be Steam and GOG at first with maybe PS4 and XBOne in the future if it does well enough on PC.

Beat Red Faction: Armageddon - okay game, very arcade-y. Some rather fun parts though and destroying a good chunk of everything was pretty satisfying

Gotta love the unlocks after you beat the game.. meh. moving on to the next! Hmmm

(wow, I think that must be right - beat the game in 9 hours?)

beat "Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad" - two somewhat short campaigns. lots and lots of controls and you can control your squad and all that. I found that trying to do that was... too complicated and just played it like anything else :P probably made it more difficult but lol. Game is dated - some poor AI and rather good AI (depends :P) - sound was rather good I thought and it was trying to be more realistic when it comes to shooting, getting shot etc. - i.e., you don't have some counter letting you know how much ammo you have left in your gun (you can check it), you run out pretty quick if your not careful, and depending on what you need to do - slow and steady wins the race. anyways. pretty fun, sometimes frustrating because of the controls, and at times fairly challenging. Have no idea when it came out but not too bad of a game anyways. lol.

Okay. on to the next! I think... Alan Wake/Company of Heros 2? Previous computer with i7 930 and two 5770's could barely even start CoH2. We'll see what the x5670 at 4.2Ghz and a 980 does Alan Wake played fairly well on my old computer but only got a bit into it. Will try that out on a different computer. heh

Alan Wake destroyed my psyche after being vaporware for 6 years.

    Lol,

Forgot how similar in feeling the game is to the original max payne... just... different? lol! and CoH2 works rather well. can turn everything up and works pretty well. turn down AA though to keep it from dropping too low in the FPS (which is kinda crazy for how old the game is?!). I need to figure out how to get the overlay on the screen to see CPU/GPU usage to find out what's holding me back lol.

Beat Alan Wake and American Nightmare - for how "old" the game is it's pretty good. The visuals and the sound make the game - the story is interesting even though it... well... the ending. for both of them. (American Nightmare almost felt like a different game entirely. not... bad really... but... just not the same. and talk about repetitive :P). The original game has rather good parts and yeah - it totally feels like parts of the original Max Payne - even down to some of the sound effects (like trying to open a locked door lol). Makes me miss the original Max Payne... now THAT would be a good game to be remade heh.

Okay. on to the next game? Binary Domain. Still don't remember where I got these lol. so far..... ehhhh....

I'm going to desperately try to reserve time for GT Sport this weekend.
