| | | LOL @ Denny
I missed the 1337 thing, didn't even notice it. Points to Coffee.
Are you guys surprised at this point that nothing can be done at this point. It's like a childhood game there. They all think they have to hold on to whatever and bully up against each other for some reason or another (maybe they don't want people to think they are weak or have gone astray). I hate partyliners. My mom is a partyliner for one major party, and my best friend's dad is a partyliner for the other major party. And it is ridiculous, they vote for their party just to vote for their party.

| | | I'm sorry to say that, less than 10 years ago, i was a party man.
Now I look for common sense and a reasonable, well thought representative. This elusive creature is, unfortunately, very hard to find.
Did you see Boxer yesterday hold up her gavel and say something like "I'm in charge now"? She's so incredibly caught up in the power thing, she's forgotten what she was elected to do.
We need a flood to wash through the house and senate and rid us of ... well, pretty much all of them. Get a bunch of non-politicians who aren't trading favors, taking money from PACs, or lobbied to death.

wait...no? | I'm starting to get rather sick of all the stuff going on - from the whole thing with the atterney general to people trying to raise all our bills because of the "global warming" billion-dollar business..err... threat.
I love being informed about what's going on.. but now I almost don't want to pay attention because it's just pissing me off too much :P

Boxer: No, that isn't the rule. You're not making the rules. You used to when you had this (holding up the gavel). You don't do this anymore. Elections have consequences. |
I'm surprised she doesn't have He-Man's sword, screaming "I HAVE THE POWER!!!"
(Inhofe is a dumbass, too)

but when Al Gore wants to impose a "carbon tax" on your gas, electricity and any other activity that might hurt the environment, I think we should pay attention.

| | | It's OK to be all for your party if you believe in what they say and do. If you're a hard-core liberal then it's OK to be 100% behind the dems now. The problem I have is Im a conservative and the democrats in Washington are further left then ever in history and the GOP is now just doing whatever it takes to get reelected. The concept of smaller government, lower taxes, less federal intrusion, and supporting the fundamentals of the Constitution and the Federalist Papers seems to be the LAST thing either party gets involved in.

I think all politicians should first be required to watch the documentary made in the UK about global warming before they start making any decisions... then put it on network tv for everybody else to watch. (If you haven't seen it you should watch it ). The fact that they are using this stuff to create a new tax should make everybody really wonder about it. I'm hopeing something comes out and forces them (Al Gore and others) to stay in their homes for the rest of their lives out of shame or whatever else for all this crap political junk... and junk science for that matter.
