| | | Happy thanksgiving? Yeah right. So Thanksgiving has turned into my least favorite holiday over the past several years. Having my grandfather die the day of 4 years ago was bad enough, but having his wife die a day before Thanksgiving this year made it even better.
As if having to attend a funeral today wasn't bad enough, I wake up to find my car MISSING. YES, MISSING. My iPod, laptop, brand new system, work clothes, ALL of my schoolbooks homework and projects, and essentially everything that I kept dear to me was stolen. Some PATHETIC, WORTHLESS JACKASS decided he would make my thanksgiving the worst day of my life. Fucking assholes in the world today, I swear.
And now I sit here on my bro's computer, getting ready to go home with nothing but my cellphone, wallet, and the same pair of clothes I was wearing for the last 3 days.
FUCK holidays. |

| | | sorry UI. do your best to remain positive. It's the really tough challenges in life that shape who we are. Try to suck some good out of the situation and use it to strengthen yourself. There's always a chance you'll get it back, too

| | | useful, my condolences go out to you and your family for your loss of a family member.
as for the theft , probably nothing will happen , but let the law enforcement do their job and hopefully there will be a nice ending. may take awhile but once ,in your eyes, you hit the bottom ,the only way you can go is up.
hang in there.

| | Good Luck in the reovery Greg,
My Grandmother recently passed away and it was a sad time, it was difficult but i pulled through, and this is what makes you strong. Hang in there.
Worst story for me, i was running a school pentathlon and this kid i was grudging against stole my front wheel of my bike so i couldnt do the event. Just a lil but of humour

| | Thanks guys, I really appreciate all of the condolences. At least I know I can always turn to you guys for some support.
I'm not sure on the status of car yet (it's only been a day so it'll need more time), but I'm pretty sure they'll find it stripped in a ditch somewhere. Figures they do it after I finish setting up a nice sound system too
Went and looked at a couple new cars tonight with the rents, which wound up being a lot of fun. I found an '04 for really cheap with low miles, so I think we're going to put a down payment on in Monday and I can leave the lot then. At least I learned a couple things from this:
1. Never live in a ghetto neighborhood, no matter how appealing that low monthly rent looks.
2. Never "pimp" out your car; the more stock it looks, the less chance it'll get stolen.
3. Material things are replaceable. Had my grandma not died this weekend I may not have realized this so soon, but you can always buy another car; you can't buy your family back. |

| | | Jesus man, that's horrible what happened. I'm really sorry to hear and wish you the best. I hope they catch the bastards who did this to you. Just be sure to know, nothing goes unpunished, those people will get what they deserve.
As for the family tragedy, I'm also sorry to hear. I'm sure she's in a better place and she'll be happy for you and your family. Dont let things get you too down, good things will come and you'll get yours. Keep your head up pop, don't sink into the bs.
By the way, you can live in the ghetto, just keep your car in a garage and get lojack if your whip is worht it. My mom and dad have always done either one of those two and I've been living in the Bronx since I came to this country. If you gunna custom your car, make sure the outside looks as stock as possible. Having a sleeper is NEVER bad. Draws less attention from crooks and cops (not like there's much of a difference...) Good luck bro.
