This thread is for direct input from all of you here on how we can continue to grow sR.com in a direction that will keep things fresh and interesting using your direct input.

Please feel free to use links to concepts, programs, plugins and ideas other websites are using if you feel it will help you better express yourself. Our programmers are very talented and given the time can accomplish just about anything. Now there are limits...but we've yet to find them

Without you, the members, sR is nothing and we sincerely hope you take this as an opportunity to input your ideas to help create a better online experience for everyone here.

the strog is a good idea but it seems like its updated sporatically at best. i know its hard to do regular stuff but its a cool thing that could work with some planning. maybe make week in review a bi-weekly thing? do a mapping tut every 4 weeks, face time every 2 weeks, state of shed every 4 weeks, something like that so its updated on a regular basis.

for game/hardware reviews it would be a good idea to come up with a general format for how they should be done. :x

i dont know, just some thoughts..

new ideas:
in depth interview of a community member from any one of the various games. you can ask them how they got into gaming, their computer setup, about their life, etc etc... could be a cool way to cross over the fps -> mmo gap.

start a link swap deal with other gaming groups, have a different site be the new affliate of the week or something.

profile of the week, pic someone from the forums and feature their profile on the frontpage..

wacky pub nights, do something like from 8-10pm on a thursday the roto will be all scoutzknivez with low-grav or something silly like that.

kings of the shed: top 10 players from each month gets thrown to a page (stolen from kustomkettle dod servers.)

I liked on Ver. 1.0 when we had the vent link in the corner and you were able to see who was in there without joining. It also seemed to create more vent traffic.

We're considering bringing something like that back...the problem is the amount of modules we already have which are necessary to navigate the site. But I like the idea and I know most others do too.

yeah, I like the sound of that one. If that happened, they get to have something on on their name or tag if they win.

exactly, or just some sort of prize. this might draw in more people to the forums and the servers, and would keep more members hooked.
