| | | HL2 reversing myself ..
For the final time I have to reverse myself and say FarCry is a better game than HL2.
I have little desire to go back into HL2 but still want to explore FarCry a lot more. AI and overall moving emersive Graphics are much better in FarCry.

I like HL2 Much more than FarCry, Don't get me wrong tho.
It does have a good engine, but those monkeys remind me of the quake beasts.....
Man I hated those things....

| | The graphic spread of Far Cry WAS truly amazing, but I'm not so sure about the play mechanics. How many times in Far Cry were you sure you hit a guy square in the chest with your favorite weapon at medium range and he wouldn't flinch? As if you never touched him! Took WAY too much ammo to knock out the enemy AI, and that includes the head shots!
HL2, on the other hand, was silky smooth shootin' action. Every bullet that hit the mark was quite a reward!
You wanna make a game with awesome graphics? I'll buy it! Just don't skimp on the gameplay, 'cuz a game of Combat on the 2600 was less frustrating!

| | Nice sig, of course! Far Cry had that cool tropical motif blended with rusty buildings, angry soldiers, and nasty creatures. I played through a little less than half of Far Cry and got sort of repetitive. But guess what, It's an FPS! Even HL2 can't escape the oft times mundanity of shooting up the place, unless you count slicing heads and body parts off with a round saw and the gravity gun!
