Playstation 3 Sells 10.5 Million

Adding to Blu-ray's momentum was the gradual increase in sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 home video-game console, which also works as a Blu-ray player. Sony has sold 10.5 million PS3 machines worldwide since the machine went on sale late 2006.

Its a little known fact that I've actually been trying to convince my family to get a PS3, since it has Blu-Ray (easier to convince on that fact, rather than its lackluster PS3 game catalog)

Well and PS3 seems to get shafted with crappy multiplatform ports (The Orange Box).

I'd rather keep a console with a track record in it's first year as follows; Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Lair, Motorstorm, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, and soon to come... Killzone, Haze, MGS4, FFXIII than a console who just gives up everything to PC. Makes my console worth a lot more. But I'm not complaining, because i also have a PC who can play all that stuff. I feel bad for the people who don't.
