First off, let me thank you for your interest in joining the long standing Jagged Legion of Pinnacle. If you are reading this, I assume you are either looking to apply to the Legion, or are just curious to the purpose of this thread. Both are valid reasons.
We look for good natured, and friendly players to join our Ranks, not necessarily skilled, but fun and personable. Skills and playing ability can be achieved over time playing with the group. First and foremost, it is important that all of us get along as more than a group, but as a family.
A few prerequisite criteria, however, must be met before you can begin the application process. They are as follows:
1) You must be 18 years of age or older.
The reason for the age restriction is simply due to the fact that Ventrilo is mandatory, and some (if not all, at times) of the conversation therein would not be suitable for younger, more innocent ears.
2) Ventrilo is *Mandatory*.
If you are not familiar with the voice chat program known as Ventrilo, please associate yourself with it. It is the primary means of communication within the Legion. Typing is cumbersome, and when we participate in PvP, or Raid Type events, communication between Raid Leaders and Participants is priority one. Nothing serves this purpose better than Ventrilo.
3) You must own a Security Level 40 Hero or higher.
The reason for this is to help us know that you are dedicated to this game in some respect. Taking a character to 40 should prove this to some extent. We like to look for long-standing members, who are passionate about City of Heroes. However, having 50's on other servers and looking to move could grant you access at much lower levels. In this respect, cases in regards to this Criteria will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
4) Read the Code of Conduct
Familiarize yourself with our Code of Conduct, located in this forum as a sticky post.
But before making your application post here are some thing that are required by you as a member should you be invited to the SG:
Rules of an applicant you must follow at all times:
SG Events
We as a SG have SG meetings on the first Sunday of every month. This is required by all member to attend. In the event you can not attend, it is your responsibility to contact one of the command staff to cover any important information you may miss. In the event you do not make these meetings and do not contact the command staff and this becomes a habit, penalties as a SG member may occur.
30 Day Inactive Policy
All hero characters in the SG are under a 30 day inactive game play policy. If in the event you do not log into the game within 30 days your character will be removed from the SG. Upon your return, you may request to have your character re-instated to the SG. Keep in mind when this happens you will lose your previous rank and be placed as an applicant for 30 days and after that 30 thirty days of re-instatement you will be promoted back to your original ranking.
Problems with the SG or it Members
As a family and a SG we sometimes have problems between us as most brothers and sisters may have while growing up. In the event this should happen, be an adult and try to resolve these situations in the easiest and calmest manner. If you find you can not do this without making the problem larger feel free to contact the command staff and we will help you resolve these problems you may have.
Any personal information between you and another member should be brought to a separate channel rather than the general chat channels, so please let the Command Staff and or the person you wish to talk to know to move to another channel before trying to discuss any of this information. Any conversations in the general chat channels will be taken as a general topic and discussed in the general chat channel. So if you wish to keep any information confidential, please pull one of the command staff or its members to another channel before talking about any information you want kept to yourself and the other parties.
Teaming
As a member you are required to give new applicants a fair shot. We expect you as a mature adult to find as much time as you can to team with the new applicants. If you find that a new applicant is bothersome and or causing problems for you, please contact the command staff and bring these concerns to our attention that way we may address the issues and resolve them before they become worse. You are not forced to team with anyone but are required to try.
Also as being a member of the SG, you will find times where things may seem at a stand still and nothing is going on as a group. If you find this happening by all means try to get people interested in doing something. Don't feel just because some of the members are not doing anything is a sign of you have to solo that day. We all may be bored and waiting for something to happen. So take the initiative to get things going.
Prestige Quotas
As a SG we do not have any prestige quotas to meet. We do require all applicants and members to play in SG Mode. In the event you need extra influence or infamy, by all means play out of SG Mode. Or you may come to a member and we will give you what you need. Considering the amount of drops and the economy as it is, you should have no problems earning influence or infamy by selling the drops you get from normal game play. So please stay in SG Mode as often as possible.
Vent Courtesy
As an applicant or a member of the SG Ventrilo is manditory, and while using Ventrilo as our form of easy communication please be courteous to all of its applicants and members. Aknowledge when someone enters or leaves a channel. By not doing this, it could bring hard feelings to the applicants and members. This is something we do not want and as small as this is, it can possibly cause large problems between some members.
