Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Been playing this with some OD's on Primal-Leviathan server. I'm normally anti J-RPG, but it has been fun so far running around with my Chocobo and whacking stuff with my lvl32 Marauder. Game has cross platform play via PS3/PS4/PC and a huge population (something like 4 million). It is pay to play (cheapest is 12.99US/mo for 1 character per server, but one toon can do ALL classes so there is no need to make alts). Graphically it is a very pretty game, and with the Heavensward expansion coming in June they will be adding a DX11 client, as well as new zones and an increased level cap. The game is 20 bugs on Steam, and comes with 30 days game time included, a good deal in my opinon. If you're into MMO's or Final Fantasy games in general, maybe give it a try.

It worked out well for me, our OD SWTOR guild was going downhill, so I cancelled that ($16/mo) and picked this up for the $20, and now I'll be paying $3 less for this monthly. From what I hear, the expansion adds nearly as much content as the whole game currently has, so I'm super excited for June 23rd. Just got my first mount a few days ago, now I'm drooling over the upcoming flying mounts, lol.

Still playing and making progress. Been raiding a bit, game gets so much better at end game, as you have all your skills unlocked and the gear is cooler.

The grind is so real in this game, the ATMA portion completely ruined the progression for me. It's a great game, but expect to put some hardcore time and effort. The main quest is worth it though, and the Hildebrand quests are some of the best (and divisive) in MMO history. And that crafting/fishing/resource gathering is the best in the biz.

I still enjoy the game, though I switched to Dragoon before Heavensward (there have been some good changes to it, like less animation lock on jumps etc.) I hear ya on the grind, I hated the Atma phase on my bravura. I'm currently grinding out Esoteric tomes (weekly 450 cap) to get all of my ilvl 200 artifact 2.0 gear, have a few pieces now and the 200 weapon. They are going to add a new relic/upgrade with the 3.1 patch I believe, hopefully it is not too tedious to get.
