Conversation Between Tyrant and hoboman

problem is, after i hop nikolai into the helicopter, i have no idea what .ff file would be corrupted... i tried to find a list of missions/corresponding .ff files first, but with no luck... you seem to be somewhat of a guru in regards to these!? i hope you will respond with the info i need, and i hope that it indeed solves my problem and i can play through the rest of the game, i mean, beating 2 basic levels like that and the game being kaput, that's so maddeningly lame...
so if you can help me, please do, it'd be greatly appreciated tyrant! thanks in advance!

hello, you seem to be somewhat of a guru in regards to assisting people identify which .ff file they are needing to replace on their harddrive from the dvd, when their iw3sp.exe crashes at the same point over and over again!? i just finally found your solutions for some people on these forums having same problems as me, only different point in the game. mine is at the end of the second level, after i rescue nikolai and we get into the helicopter with him, it goes to the SAS loading screen video thing, and after roughly 3 seconds, the SAS logo spins in a circle once or twice and then my iw3sp.exe crashes, everytime, same spot in the game... havent been able to play SP past this... its been quite frustrating not being able to find a solution to this with ease, however i have much hopes that your solution of replacing the .ff file with a version of the .ff file that is not corrupted will work...(part 2 of 2 posted after this, due to 1000 character limit)
