| | | Xbox 360 controller question Howdy. I'm thinking this is in the wrong section of the forum, but when I searched it kept coming up as a blank page.
Just a quick question about the xbox 360 wireless controllers. I'm buying a premium xbox 360 from a friend tomorrow. The middleman in this deal said the owner had bought a recharge pack for the wireless controller, but only had one.
Do the controllers come with a built in recharable pack, or do they date AA batteries? It sounds like if they do not come standard, I'll have to get an extra controller battery pack for the 2nd controller. Also, how are they recharged? Do they come with a unit that plugs into the wall to recharge them, or does it connect to the actual xbox? I seen some wired rechargers on ebgames website that allowed you to recharge while you play. (basically turns the wireless controller into a wired one while it charges) |

| | | by default the wireless controller comes with two alkaline AA batteries. The rechargeable battery pack is $11.95 and a must buy. You can only get about 20 hours out of the batteries, so the replacement cost is obscene. You plug the controller into the USB port on the 360 and there's a slot on the controller for the other end. You can still play while it's charging, but of course it will have a wire connected to it. I usually just plug it in after playing and it'll charge it while turned off, even though there will still be fans running on the 360 while it's charging. Also, you only need one charger IMO. The chances of both needing charging at the same time is pretty slim.. or at least that's the case here
BTW, if you look in the other OT you'll see a better place for this question and you'll probably end up there soon... |

| | the controllers come with its own rechargable AA batteries and a charger for them. the chargers plug into the wall, not your xbox so you cannot turn a wireless controller into a wired one. The batterly life of a controller is around a whole day so you usually wont have to worry about chargin it till you go to sleep |

| | | I can't even get an XBOX 360. I go into the stores and there is all of the XBOX 360 games and peripheral sh!t thrown all about the aisle....but NO XBOX 360. This is the worst "launch" of a console in the history of the world.
Peace,
Roided

I have one (w/ two wireless controllers) sitting about 20 feet away from me and what I said is how they recharge and they come w/ two energizer alkaline AA batteries..
roided, check here every day and you should be able to get one. That's where I got it from. You have to get a package though, but it's a better deal and pretty much comes with everything I would've got anyhow.. |

| | | The normal wireless controller comes with two AA batteries that are non rechargeable.
You can buy a rechargeable pack that takes the place of the batteries and a wire plugs into the top of the controller and then front of the xbox via USB to charge it and then when its charged pull the wires out and its wireless again. |

| | | Good deal, thanks.
I didn't see many detailed specs for the controllers. From the sounds of it, after reading your info, he has the default batteries and such that came with the controllers, and one of them has the rechargable battery unit. Most likely the 11.99$ accessory. Since he is selling the system, it comes with Madden. I personally dislike realistic football games (they are good, just not my cup of tea), so I'll probably use that to buy Ridge Racer (most likely get 25-30$ store credit for it)
From the movies, Ridge Racer looked pretty good. That was one of the main reasons I bought the ps1 when it was released...I imagine this will just be a prettier version of the same style of game. I'm just glad I ran across an xbox before Fight Night Round 3 came out. The game looks amazing. |

| | | COD2 is a must have, unless you absolutely hate FPS's.. that and Kameo have the best graphics of any 360 game I've seen so far (and my games are in my sig). One thing though, you do have an HDTV right?? You're basically throwing money away if you don't. |

| | | oh, and no, NO wireless controller comes with the charger and rechargeable batteries. The batt's are $11.95 each and the charger (which comes with a battery) is $29.95 (I think). | | |
