Question bout cables for HD-DVD

Does the HD-DVD drive come with HDMI cables? I'm thinking no ... I don't see where it comes with any cable besides the usb.

Also ... I looked on ebgames site and such, but didn't see a hdmi cable for xbox, but I heard one was coming out. The reason I want one is not really super great qualtiy, but to free up a space on my tv slots. I'm going to try to get a Wii, and I have two unused HDMI inputs on my plasma, so I figured that would be a good space to plug the 360 if I can find a cable (or if they ever come out with one for the 360).

it hasnt been announced yet that the external DVD player will have HDMI cables.. component is your only option

Nah... VGA is also an option. Lots of HDTVs have the VGA connection, and that is really the best way to connect th 360 at the moment, especialy considering the fact that its the only way that the 360 will upscale sd dvds (480 to 720/1080).

But yeah, like Duke said... no announcements about HDMI cables, and I honestly wouldnt hold my breath waiting for them, since MS has stated that they wont be releasing them because they dont think there is a market for them, or that they are needed at the moment.

i thought he was talking about HD inputs... VGA wont give you HD

Oh yes it will.

On the 360, the VGA= 1080P on HD-DVD, Games, SD-DVD... while with component you only get 1080P Games, 1080I HD-DVD, 480P SD-DVD. Doesnt that mean that VGA gives you HD?
