This disc is unreadable.....
Well GOW decided to not let me play campagne any more... I can still play multiplayer, but i cant play vs the computer anymore... Ive tried cleaning the disc, but it just doesnt work.. I took the disc out and there isn't a scratch ANYWHERE on the CD.. for good reason, being as it hasnt been removed from my xbox since purchased..

Does anyone have a fix for this error.. Cause BS like this makes me real pissed ... wtf,... how can xbox allow this... 60$ isnt chump change.....

BTW, My friend has gone through 2 MLB 2006, Tomb raider, and a madedn 07 with this same problem... We thought it was his xbox, but now mine is starting to do the same ****..... And i cant even start a new campagne to see if its just where i am in the game b/c GOW only allows 1 saved game per hdd... The gayness.....

Any fixes for this guys???

Wow, Deutch... that sounds pretty bad. I havent had that happen to me yet, but ive only owned mine for about 6 months. Have you tried the trouble shooting section of xbox.com?

Could be a laser out of alignment or possibly the motor cant move the laser far enough out on the disc to read the entire DVD.

That could very well be, I read somewhere that GOW is a little overe 8gb so it uses every bit of that disc

I have a solution. Call Microsoft at 1800-4MY-XBOX and they will replace it for free. I had the same problem with PGR3 so I called MS and they sent a copy out to me second day air via DHL along with a return slip for the defective game disk. BTW this does not work with all games just Microsoft Game Studio games.

Thnx for the replies guys... I guess ill call that number and see what i can get done... Really sucks...

I started a new campagne and its loading now, for he meantime.. Although, i havent gotten up to the part where it doesnt work yet... wish me luck....

Update: I stayed up all last night to play campagne to get back to where i was when the disc got stuck.. I got up to the part, and passed it with no issues... now i have to restart the game on insane... Turns out i was like 1/2 an act away from the end guy when it brok... god damnit.. LOL

Everything seems good again.. I dunno wtf happened though...
