Sweet I like the cooler chipset and HDMI. Now if they would just but the HD-DVD internal it would be perfect.

i'd be mad too if sony revealed a completely different console a year after the first launch... sony could have done the same thing if they didnt want to put the blu-ray player internal... but they wanted one awesome package

This is bs, they should at least offer some kind of trade-in offer for the new version and some $$ to cover the "difference".

For the above bitching about tradeins.

One have you not played and enjoyed the system you have had for over a year.

Two Nintendo does this all the time look at the GBA then the SP or the DS then the DS lite.

Three You are getting newer features that have been asked for by the community if you do not want said features then do not upgrade.

Oh and incase you havn't noticed all early adopters get punished you want to be on the bleeding edge there is a price to pay not just the upfront cost but having the most bugs and somtimes missing out on upgraded versions look at the current PS2 vs the First PS2.

Good points, but the newerr version appears that it might be a far more stable gaming environment than the original, I think some sort of bone should be tossed our way.

The First PS2 was a nightmare and Sony didn't give two ****s about it how many drives failed. I understand being upset but if you jump to be the first to have something there is a good chance your gonna get burned. It happens.
