Xbox Virus

Hey guys, has anyone gotten a virus called Ring of Fire or something like that? My brother got one on his and can't get rid of it. Can you format your Xbox to get rid of it?

you mean the red ring of death? that's basically XBox failure...and he should be covered under the new 3 year warranty.

haha tate unless you literally mean a virus on his xbox, his xbox is getting too hot and it basically failed. ....and if he mentions something about wrapping the xbox in a bunch of towels dont do it.

the only way to prevent your xbox from overheating is making sure it gets good airflow... and the power supply for it should have good airflow too.

So what? Its not a virus but the damn thing over heated? Well he says when it turns on the lights flash red. So is it a goner? He says he only had the 1 year warrenty

ya there's no virus that I know of...the ring of death is the textbook indication that it failed...he should be covered.
