The 360's internal harddrive is a newer version of the FATX filesystem (slightly different than the original XBox). The 360 supports both HFS+ and FAT32, but I don't know how usable the external harddrive is on the 360 as far as storage of movies and music. You'll want to format it HFS+ if you'll be storing HD movies on it, otherwise they wouldn't fit with FAT32. You can use some software for Windows called
MacDrive. I use it and it works flawlessly.
