IF you have the choice, get the console with the lower watt power adapter (175W). I would think all the old consoles have gone, but make sure the 'contents' on the side of the box mention the HDMI port. Let us know what ya get!

You should also consider getting a Case modding kit, so you can show your love for sR by making an sR mod.

k so i went out and bought it yesterday.
premium hardware bundle
which came with:
two wireless controllers
headset
premium 360 with 20 gig hd
ethernet cable
chargeable battery pack for contoller and charger.
hdmi port
games:
picked up fear for $10 at gamestop
bought halo3 from some dude down the hall for $20
was given gears of war from a friend.
total spent: around $460
the hardware bundle was $399.97

now i just need to call the tech guys for my school to figure out what i need to do to get live up and runnin. how do you find out the 360s ip? i have to register it with my school in order for our network to recognize it.

I would not recommend vertical, it tends to cause the disc to bounce more. As far as more heat being vented I dont buy that either. The largest vent area on the 360 is on the bottom. Placing it vertical blocks that and with the HD trapping the heat on the topside its a double whammy. Leave it horizontal and you'll have less worry about it being knocked over inadvertently as well.
