I have to say, No Country for Old Men is one of my favorite movies. Jesus, it's well done.

Lol - the deep fake is pretty good heh.

    But...I HATE that movie.
Wanted to throw my shoe at the TV when it was over. Massive waste of time. Wife also took the time to read The Road and ended up actually throwing it when she finished it (which I understood when I watched the movie). I'll happily say "Pass!" on anything Cormac McCarthy lol.

Of all the movies I've seen... and I've seen a lot... No Country for Old Men was one of them. I gave it 2 thumbs.

Watched the live action Lion King:

better than the live action Aladdin - but boy did they remove a bunch of good one liners and.. stuff.. knew it was going to be 'darker' (ah, making realistic CG animals fighting? not very cartoony heh) but it was much MUCH more of a drama and much less of a adventure/comedy (with the typical Disney drama - you know, dead/murdered parents etc). Some other odd choices too on how they did the movie but ahh well - not upset I watched it by any means. But that will probably be the last time I watch it. 'Original' animated Lion King? Sure - that's a classic heh

Forbidden Planet is on Vudu right now for free. I own that movie on one of my services, can't remember which at the moment. It so happens to be my favorite movie. Watched it Saturday night. Or, more accurately, fell asleep with it on.

    Re: Movie Discussion

The new Lion King IS cgi and not actually live action...right?

And I saw Forbidden Planet is on Netflix, too... I might give that another look soon. But, it IS impossible to take Leslie Nielsen seriously after all the Airplane, Police Squad, etc stuff.

Disney Plus is free for a year if you subscribe to FiOS or have Verizon Wireless with an unlimited plan. Go to their web page,
    https://www.verizonwireless.com/solu...es/disneyplus/
Give the email you use for your account, and tomorrow you get a code to activate the free year. It does NOT include Hulu or ESPMS sports. Details of their other plans and stuff will roll out tomorrow, too. Gonna watch the new Star Wars show, The Mandalorian. I expect it to be horrible, but, hey...free. It's a Boba Fett show. Seriously? It's a character from the Holiday Special. I really just wanna watch the original trilogy and then binge me some Marvel movies.

Disney+ sure is having day 1 issues. Major outages, titles not playing... I was gonna watch that Mandalorian Boba Fett thing, but the audio was lagging. Great job, Bob Iger. You really showed Netflix who's boss.

We tried it last night. No problems. However, the catalog was pretty thin.
