Wow, in the process of ordering some new parts from Dell - one of which is a new motherboard.

I've never seen anything quite like it! The capacitors are blown... now i've seen my fare share of blown capacitors, but NOTHING like this. The capacitor is intact. The top is in perfect condition.... but it's been blown up from the bottom of the capacitor! Its about two inches above the board. Crazyness. It probably not stopped there because the CPU heatsink and fan are above it - there's crap all over the board from it. that must been some kinda mini explosion. It seriously looks pretty cool. LOL.

Macintrash predominantly used Chinese capacitors a year ago - that's changed. Shows you that being cheap on your junk ends up making you have to pay for it :P

This is one of the older Dell models that used the same Capacitors that Mac used for most of their machines. Dell learned their lesson as well, but they only used it on 2 or 3 models. I think every single one of those emacs used those capacitors. we musta fixed 60+ of those guys. sheesh.
