Just looking at the screenshots on their website, it looks like they basically made a clone of Adium, except they made it for Windows.

I sent an e-mail to get into the beta. I really hate Pidgin, Trillian, Kopete, etc. The only client I really like is Adium, and it doesn't exist for Windows. This looks like a winner for me, assuming it doesn't take ungodly amounts of system resources.

I like Kopete, been using digsby for a little bit now, liking it. Much better than Trillian and Pidgin. Still like Kopete better, but for Windows I'll be sticking with digsby.

Personally I just use Steam friends for most of my communication. However I do use Trillian w/Xfire plugin sometimes, if I want to chat to the limited amount of people that don't have Steam.

I had a couple problems with Kopete that prevented me from using it. First, it depended upon QT and KDE libs. Second, it had a ridiculous start-up time (compared to all the other messengers).

It also lacked a lot of useful features I find in other messengers.

I prefer Adium over everything else. For Windows, though, I've just been using Pidgin until something better comes along. Trillian is too ugly and childish. MirandaIM is amazing... if you have three weeks dedicated to configuring it. Digsby looks rather professional, especially since it looks like they took all the visual themes from Adium. ;P

Use KDE then. Much better than gnome anyway.


Start up time for me is less/equal to Pidgin or Trillian on Windows. What features? Never really noticed any difference really, only setting I thing I ever touch are notifications/sound and timestamps.
