| | | Random thoughts-
~
The world stage is very similar to the run up to WWII. A single totalitarian government hellbent on expansionism and threatening neighbors, mass murder, ... and appeasers like Neville Chamberlain (read: Obama) who want to talk things over with the bad guys and reach understandings.
~
How different would the current situation in the world be if we'd simply opened up oil exploration when Bush wanted to in 2001?
~
People like Obama make America look weak in the eyes of our enemies. Our enemies don't want to talk and reach understandings. They want to defeat America. They want us dead. They'll agree to anything (like when Clinton sent Carter to N. Korea to receive false assurances they'd give up a nuke program. In exchange for fissionable material... sigh) and then go back to plotting our deaths.
~
I predict now that terrorist activity in Iraq and Afghanistan will all but stop very soon. They'll move to Pakistan and set up shop there.
~
McCain will appoint the liberalist of liberals as as VP candidate. He'll also miss every opportunity for slam dunks against the Obama campaign. If McCain wins now, it'll only be because people are voting against Obama... and not for him.

| | | "He can talk all he wants about Britney (Spears) and Paris (Hilton), but I don't have time for that mess," Obama said.
Mess? that's Presidential. Way to lose your cool.
Obama strongly condemned Russia's actions Tuesday but said U.S. involvement in Iraq had imperiled its ability to take a leadership role in the matter.
Really? Who's going to take a leadership role, then, when you're in office, Obama? France? Christ, you're stupid.
The Illinois senator also praised Joe Biden, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman thought to be among the top contenders to be Obama's running mate, for calling for an additional $1 billion for reconstruction projects in Georgia.
Great, let's give our money away to a foreign country while we are worried about debt. Idiot.

| | polls are never quite right, but McCain leads by 5? Looks like raising taxes, not drilling, and hoping Russia and Georgia play nice isn't paying off for Obama. Poll shows McCain in 5-point lead over Obama | Politics | Reuters

I guess you have no other rebuttal other than trying to find typos and errors in dates.
Don't address the meat of the article or anything.
| No need to get abusive. I didn't know he was in State Senate. I honestly thought the whole article was a hoax, because it consistently says 2003. No need to kick people when they're down, for Christ's sake.

| | | And do you honestly think McCain is not going to raise taxes on everyone for the pure reason that he doesn't say he's going to? Of course he is. The only difference between the two is taht Obama admits that he'll raise taxes. Politicians lie. Deal with it.
