| | fuzzy, you forgot "but we're for the troops". It's required whenever you try to defund them.

| | | oh yeah that's right!! then CRAP.. why do they keep failing then?! sheesh! Think of the troops! Think of the CHILDREN!!
--- but seriously... what side are they on? The only analogy that I can think of is something like... bribing a security guard to NOT watch the door...so that the bad guys can just get in without any hassles.

| | Decision time for US over Iran threat Quote:
Iran has installed 3,000 centrifuges for enriching uranium - enough to begin industrial-scale production of nuclear fuel and build a warhead within a year, the UN's nuclear watchdog reported last night.
The report by Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), will intensify US and European pressure for tighter sanctions and increase speculation of a potential military conflict.
The installation of 3,000 fully-functioning centrifuges at Iran's enrichment plant at Natanz is a "red line" drawn by the US across which Washington had said it would not let Iran pass. When spinning at full speed they are capable of producing sufficient weapons-grade uranium (enriched to over 90% purity) for a nuclear weapon within a year...
| So.. what does the US do? We drew the line at 3,000 - Adminidingalingdong said they're working to get over 50,000. 3,000 is enough to get a bomb in a year......
Me thinks that if nothing happens to them..like.. they don't start doing things to make the rest of the world - especially Israel - happy.... Israel will be dismantling those 3,000 centrifuges.

| | | Dirty Harry Reid announced he's going to keep congress in session over the Thanksgiving break to prevent Bush from making recess appointments. This will fly as well as that deal where they set up all those cots and declared it was going to be an all nighter.

Instead, she said, CNN's Suzanne Malveaux told her right before the end of the debate to go with the following question:
"This is a fun question for you. Do you prefer diamonds or pearls?"
Parra-Sandoval said Friday that she had submitted both the diamonds-or-pearls and the nuclear-waste questions, and both were pre-approved, but she said the Yucca Mountain one was the one she wanted to ask. She said she entered the line about diamonds or pearls because CNN was looking for something light-hearted. | sigh

I guess he justifies it by saving the planet while he makes billions off this imagined carbon industry he's creating.
