: 28 th | | | The sR Metalhead Thread So I know we have a few metalheads around here at sR or at least some people that like metal (me, useful, dwall, dopefish, and probably more) so its just a thread for discussion, sharing bands, etc.
starting off
A new 3 Inches of Blood album was released a few days ago "Fire Up the Blades" so gonna go pick that up before the LAN
Also a new In Flames album as well due on April 4th called "A Sense of Purpose"
Discuss!

| | | In Flames is great, I like their old stuff especially. Their latest albums like Leeches I think it was called, wasn't that great. They still put out good music though. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Darkest Hour, Lamb of God and been trying to find more Summer's End since I only have a couple of songs. They're sic, their drummer is crazy, pulls of triplets like nothing. |

: 34 th | | | Been listening to some Disturbed and Dethklok, haven't listened to much new stuff, but I liked the 3 Inch Blood YTMND, so I might have to check it out.

| the only reason i like In Flames is because they sound more hardcore than Metal. Its a great combination.
Clyman is a great CD |

: 28 th | | | lil list me, dwall, and useful put together a few weeks back thru PM's
all that remains
(new) ateryu
fear factory
killswitch engage
In flames
mudvayne
mushroomhead
opeth
pantera
slayer
skindred (cool band, rasta singer w/ metal music)
dwall:
chimaira
soilwork
trivium
as i lay dying
Useful:
1.Between the Buried and Me (their older shit is brutal; they're more progressive, but only because they have NO riffs that repeat in any of their songs. It's perfect if you love breakdowns and have ADD My favorite band of ALL TIME --even more so than tool)
2. Fear Factory (old school, like their album Obsolete -- great record that I still listen to daily)
3. At the Gates (not sure if you put that already)
4. Look What I Did -- these guys are epic as hell, lot of confusing lyrical patterns and guitar riffs, and they're all brutal.
5. Fall of Troy -- not as heavy as the rest, but sick ass guitars in every song.
6. Horse the Band
7. Into the Moat
8. Mount Sinai -- oddly enough they're a christian heavy metal band that's still brutal as fuck.
9. The Acacia Strain
10. Darkest Hour -- more towards the melodic side, but they have really catchy hooks in most of their songs.
lil harder metal:
arch enemy
bodom
lamb of god
