Maybe Obama hasn't committed to much yet, but I agree with him when he speaks. He seems to share many of my opinions and ideals, and I believe that he can translate that into policy.
As for further taxing the "hard working, already overtaxed Americans", I'd be interested to know where this is coming from. What programs has Obama spoken of that are going to tax this majority of the American citizenry?

Those are only estimates, of course, but most government costs are far worse than estimated.
The only change we need is smaller government and fewer taxes. No, none of the candidates will change this. Quote: |

| There are thousands of resources online to check both Obama's plans and the associated costs. All you have to do is look, instead of simply listening to the speeches. Hell, Obama's last speech sounded great - he talked about personal responsibility and less government help. The problem is, he doesn't mean it.

Edit: Oh yeah, for the record, I agree with Obama on the gas tax cuts, but for different reasons. Cutting the gas tax will result in a bigger deficit or a bigger tax increase later. If you cut the gas taxes and accompany it with a cut in speanding, you're moving in the right direction.
| rofl i know you saw where Obama justified the capital gains tax by saying "i know it won't make money, but it's more fair".
"Fair" is code for forced equality.

| Obama just plays the class-warfare card (among a lot of other cards) and attacking those evil rich people is standard operating procedure. Ask any poor person what he wants and he'll say he wants to become rich. They don't want socialism, they want opportunity for personal success.

| | | of course not, because when THEY become the evil rich, they will become the taxed.
as for windfall taxes, it is PURE socialism, there is no denial. Taxing profits because they are "excessive" is just stealing. I guess we should thank Hillary for having the moral fortitude to be able to determine what is and what isn't excessive.

| I have one question for either Hillary or Obama... and I'd love to have someone with the balls to ask.
"These companies you want to tax for being successful, will you give that money to companies like GM who are losing money in the hundreds of billions?"
