| | | Pretty cool idea imo. Although it might not take off due to its inability to mass produce to fit the needs of the nation or world. However, its a start. The fact that it's carbon negative is pretty cool too. Cleaner gas means better atmosphere. Yey. Hope they can pull it off, not only for the sake of global and environmental issues, but for political and economical issues as well, of course.

The closest that LS9 has come to mass production is a 1,000-litre fermenting machine, which looks like a large stainless-steel jar, next to a wardrobe-sized computer connected by a tangle of cables and tubes. It has not yet been plugged in. The machine produces the equivalent of one barrel a week and takes up 40 sq ft of floor space. However, to substitute America’s weekly oil consumption of 143 million barrels, you would need a facility that covered about 205 square miles, an area roughly the size of Chicago. |

| | | I don't think that area is that big for the amount of oil america consumes. My question is how much it will cost to run and such.
I have a small jar of oil. I used to think when we finished the earth's natural resource supply of oil, it would be worth a lot of money... I fail.

| | | Listen, Building Multiple Plants All around the country could fix that...
Each Region has a plant... That plant supplies the oil for that area...
Yeah it will not be able to do anything approaching 100% at first... but it could really ease the pain at the pump within the next few years if it gets off the ground... and screw the environmentalists... this about our lively hood and the continued existence of our society...

: 55 th | | | at my dad's pharmaceutical company they genetically engineered bugs that do pretty much the opposite, they eat oil and fart oxygen! they were using them to clean up oil spills, and it worked really well but for some reason they never pursued it! | | |
