With all the new options available for Hot Tubs and Spas this may not be as “off topic” as you think. Complete sound systems, MP3 player docks, LCD monitors, and LED lighting are just a few of the high-tech options.
I’ve owned my spa 4 years now, and still use it every day. There really is a difference in the quality from spas from a well-known spa company and one from a big box store. You get what you pay for, and let me tell you, there is a big price difference too. Although, you’ll make up for the price difference in the energy efficiency, longer warranty, and overall comfort. A spa that has 75 jets and 3 pumps is not necessarily better than a spa with 25 jets and 1 water pump. A wet-test is always recommended to make sure the spa is comfortable and meets your specific needs.
