- All right, I know someone here doesn't like the jokes that I make, fine.

- Bad repping every joke I make, fine, you have the right to do so.

- Sometimes I fail, make a bad joke, fine.

- A couple of bad reps for threadcrapping on Craig's Threadcrapping thread and a lame joke that backfired and was lame, OK I did deserve.

However, this last comment I believe is completely uncalled for:

I don't give a flying hoot about rep. I'm not playing the rep game to enlarge my e-penis, I sometimes play it for the fun of it.

And no, I'm not asking to have my rep upped for pity.

Theres about 3 people that consistantly bad rep. people - dont worry about it (i get bad repped for posting this comment)

I agree, the person should get an infraction warning/temp ban - its unacceptable to call you a pedophile.

After speaking with Ruxor, we thought it best to open this up to debate. More than anything, I'd just like to say that Rep isn't there to harass people. It's there to give props, or drop a small hammer on people for doing dumb sh*t on the boards. When it gets used for cheap, anonymous wise-cracks aimed at tearing down others, something has gone wrong.

Certainly this isn't aimed at everyone. In fact, most people are using the Rep feature just as we intended once it was turned on years ago.

In the hopes of restoring our blissful lil' world, let's just remember to use negative rep only on those that truly deserve it for breaking forum rules, not for having opinions that differ from our own.

The one problem I have is that the few times that I've gotten negative rep they have been unsigned, which I believe is kinda lame and almost cowardly. Although considering I've gotten 50x times more positive rep than negative I don't really care.

Is it really anonymous? I mean, can't Teck simply dig into Moidock's (or that of anyone else) to see who reps you, even if unsigned?

I'd neg-rep Coffee ad infinitum if it weren't for my nasty habit of signing every one I give.

I would too, except coffee can see who reps him anyway using forum hax

and I know how u feel moidock, I got a few of those

Forum Administrators can see what reps are given. We however never reveal it.
