Good Corner Desks and Workstations

I'm in the market for a nice corner desk. Something with a raised center space for a monitor, some nice little pockets and shelves on top, and with small cabinets on BOTH sides. Similar to this:

It's a Bestar Elite corner desk.

I'm going to trim it off with some side filing cabinets on each end, the kind that are also at desk height. Has anyone done a configuration like this before? My friend has that EXACT setup from circa 2000, and I like how it works for his home office.

To begin with, I want something just like this desk, and the price is pretty nuts. Can anyone provide some functional alternatives?

I have one of those in the back of my truck right now... I ordered it online, when they shipped it to me it got damaged badly... I need to take it back to Staples today and get a replacement or something...

Anyways I should have it built by middle of next week i hope.

tbh, corners are somewhat limiting. Can you go against a wall?
