Surround sound

I have the opportunity to have a 5.1 surround system professionally installed on someone else's dime. Problem is...I don't have one.

Since my place is fairly small I think a HTIB solution will be best, but looking at the selection on Best Buy's site I'm not very impressed with the outlook.

So I ask you...what should I go after? What should I stay away from?

My price points:

w/BluRay I'll go up to $700ish

w/o maybe up to $400.

Would it be advisable to go with a non-BluRay setup and add a standalone player later?

at that price point, you're stuck with HTIB, i'm afraid.

check out the LGs at BestBuy.

Maybe check these out I haven't seen any of them personally though.
I have liked in the past the Onkyo and Denon stuff not exactly HTIB but kind of

I've got a 1200w Panasonic in the bedroom and it is an excellent system. My only gripe is it's lack of multiple hdmi ports. Unfortanately this problem seems to be rampant in htib products.
