Metal Gear Solid Movie?

Well... does the streak of bad video game to movie adaptations continue? Or will it be broken. Nevertheless, Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium) will be asked to write and direct an adaptation of Metal Gear Solid.

I loved Equilibrium and perhaps its a bit early for me to say the bad video-game-movie streak is still alive. We have yet to see Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne.

metal gear series have amazing story line unlike some video game-to-movie adaptations before, so with a good budget, actors, and writers this could be a great movie..

And much like everyone else, I loved Equilibrium (if anyone believes I only saw it for the first a few weeks ago) and I'd be interested to see how this is pulled off.

I've been following the whole MGS movie thing for longer than I can remember, and finally some more concrete things are happening, and although I would've maybe preferred a more well known (i.e. big time) director for the sake of the movie being taken more seriously, I am definitely glad the guy from the great film Equilibrium could possibly direct this.

However, there are still so many other variables that need to be dead on, or close enough for this not only to please the hoards of mgs/snake followers, but also the regular folk who would go see this.

If they can get Bale, Bana, or someone just as good for Snake I will be very pleased.

Oh yeah, and Kojima better be 200% involved in every aspect, as if he is a co-director.
