Sonic Unleashed Looks to Reboot Series

In a video game series that has lost its direction with some terribad games (the 06' Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog), and has lost focus on its true stlyings (Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders) is finally looking like it might turn around with Sonic Unleashed.

"As a development team, we originally started off this project planning to create Sonic Adventure 3", Hashimoto revealed to the magazine. "In our minds, this game will have more in common with the older Sonic Adventure series. It has no relation to Sonic the Hedgehog [on PS3/Xbox 360] or Sonic and the Secret Rings".

If they could create a game that was a mix of the best of Sonic Adventure 1 (the open world, multiple character storylines etc), with some of the other features of SA2 it would be awesome.

They should just make another 2-D Sonic then all problems that came about in 3-D Sonics may be solved.

Sonic Adventures 1 & 2 were fine gameplay-wise, but the games were riddled with so many minor issues that it was hard to fully enjoy the experience (although I did have plenty of fun playing them).

They need to release an SA game that doesn't feel like it was rushed out 6 months ahead of time with the glitches, bugs, and camera to show it.
Amp it up a bit in terms of speed and down a bit in terms of obstacles and they can make a truly worthy 3-D Sonic title.

It seems like the only good games they have made in the past few years were the 2D GBA games
