| | | Boomslang finally drops If you were around for the first of the Boomslangs, with the ball, you may remember how much fun it was to use (once you tried it for a while).
Well, it's back (and orderable). An 1800dpi 3G sensor, 1000Hz / 1ms response, 32kb onboard memory, five programmable buttons, all the goodies you'd expect for a $99 mouse.
So who else is gonna get one! Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.™ | Gaming Hardware

| | | I ordered one two hours ago. I went through 2 of the Boomslang 2000's and 1 of the crappy Boomslang 2100's (by Terratec).
This is the only mouse I have been able to use and have a comfortable feeling using it. As soon as I get this, a whole lot more people are going to be angry about getting beat by a guy without fingers.

This giant bearclaw of junk? I won one of the original models at a tournament and it was complete junk. The ball was so far back towards your wrist that you had to move the mouse different just to do the same stuff. It was giant and its buttons were very awkwardly placed. I had better gameplay using a 99c mouse I picked up somewhere than using this $100 mouse from back in the day.

just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it was 'complete junk', dope. You can't just pick it up and start pwning immediately, no.
Obviously it doesn't fit you, so don't buy one. A lot of people liked the original. I did, and I've been looking forward to the new version.

If you're like me, rather than move your whole arm, you just move your wrist to move the mouse around. You can't do that with the old model of this mouse. The ball was so far back that the only way you could use it was to move your whole arm. The buttons were way too big and the right button on mine went bad after a couple weeks of use. You would press down on it and it was too soft and it would only pick up on the press sometimes. A mouse button on the right side? The mouse was perfectly symmetric, and your hand is not. Trying to use your pinky finger or ring finger to press the right button was just ridiculous. It didn't really tailer to the shape of a hand at all.
Bearclaw!
