: 64 th | | | Some New ATi Specs I found some sick news over on tomshardware, where he explained the up and coming R770s being manufactured by ATi. Leak: ATI Radeon 4800 Gets 480 Stream Procs - Tom's Hardware
Looks pretty awesome, the x2 with an astonishing 2gigs of Gddr5 ram!?
Somewhere in the article it mentions how the cards are clocked for power efficiency which I think is a step in the right direction.

| | | Its the Buy-Upgrade-Corporation Theory Buddhist. Once you buy a pimping product of something, the company decides to upgrade to something better.
Also, i am all for this card. It definitely sounds like a great deal. Good thing i went for the cheap 3870 hd instead of something nvidia related.

| | | I give ATi one more generation until they really put out something interesting. I was reading about this card this morning. It's very promising. A lot more stream processors, and finally separate clocks for stuff. However, they said they are putting the spin on power efficiency, so forget about this going after the top end market.

 : 64 th | | | i think efficiency is the new top end...
I wonder how far ahead software is from GPUs or visa versa, in other words, is it possible with the software we have to create more realistic visuals, but our cards are bottle necking them? or is it the other way?
