While we've had plenty of Samsung televisions, monitors, hard drives, and other electronics in the U.S., Samsung is desperate for a higher market share - enough to proclaim the death of their laptop division in 3 years unless it grows dramatically.
So they're expanding to the U.S. and other Euro markets.

Well, I do loves me some Samsung LCDs, but I'm not sure I'd jump to their laptops - I'm feeling a Sony vibe on over-priced and under-performing notebooks.
They can be pretty, though. Maybe I'll check one out when they hit the Best Buy.
