Nehalem Dubbed Core i7

I've been following the Nehalem news for quite some time and it seems the new generation of Intel processors finally has a name. This article by PC Magazine has the details.

There's a lot more if you just google it, but this seems to be a pretty good article about it. They're due out in October along with the new x58 chipset. I, for one, am really excited for these.

Correct, its also a name of an Native American tribe from the region. Intel has used several other Oregon locations as proccessor names.

Cedar Mill, Klamath, Tualatin, Deschutes and Willamette.

Also I think that it will be on the shelves this Winter, probably in in late October. They want to counter anything (i.e. Fusion) that AMD can possibly put out. And nobody really cares about what it is called, just as long as its wtfpwn fast as it has been predicted.
