| | | what I want is a gaming experience that is realistically altered by wounds. For instance, if I get my arm shot off, then my character should see nothing but blurred images with peripheral vision completely blacked out. Also, a timer should start (you'd run out of blood in real life and hit shock). This should all be in a game. They're sort of doing this with destructable environments (read: Crysis), but I always thought the characters would have that first

| I agree, it would still have to be liberal with the wounds (real life after one shot anywhere, your baby ass would be laying on the ground screaming 'medic!'), but if I'm shot in the arm, force me to switch to leftie and make my aim worse. Shot in the leg, slow me down. shot in the gut, die within 2 minutes and not move. shot in the head (or balls) in any way, you're out.

| | | heh agreed. That'd be ideal. Also, I think another good idea would be to have your in-game persona act like a real person. I.E. if you're racing down a corridoor, chasing some strogg or Hunt3r or something, and a hot pretty girl steps out into it, the character should move his own head. This would force you to input the opposite control to get him back on track. Essentially, in game stimula should have an effect (trip and fall - that would be hilarious), bang your head on something and pass out...

| | | That might be pushing it a bit far Vincent. It would be pretty aggravating if your character was always being affected by its surroundings. Environmental factors already do come into play to some degree. Running down that hall you might look yourself in the direction of the pretty girl, thus the environment had an effect on your gameplay. Automated responses of those sorts would be quite aggrevating. For instance, your character might quickly glance away at something and be shot because your crosshairs had strayed, where as you, the player, were focused and would never had had that response. Though I do agree with your idea for character damage, I've always thought more realistic character damage was needed. |

| | | I wish I could take a better guess. Looks very cool - Kind of Turok meets Panzer Dragoon with a little Shenmue and a whole lot a hot textures via Alan Wake.

| | | woah, think we both got this - posted it in the off topic. I believe it's 'not' a game, just a demo with 20 gig's of textures put together in TEN DAYS.
