Trackmania United is the Fourth Game in the Trackmania Series, but instead of coming out with another completely new game with a different set of locations, they decided to come up with a single game that brought everything together. (thus the United name)

yeh this got a higher score than Race...makes me want to buy it.. and i think i will since tomorrow is PAY DAYYYYYYY

Yes its both single and multiplayer, there are serveral different types.

There are various ladders which allow you to post your fastest time for the stock tracks and compare them against other racers.

There are various servers up that allow you to race against other people (however they mainly are time trial) all the racers are racing independent of each other (no collisions etc, because it would mess up the gameplay)

There are some single player elements, a puzzle mode (which I think is still in the game) where you are given checkpoints to go through and a limited amount of pieces to create a track.

Its definitly worth getting, however it still says that its not released yet, it just might be me though since I have it pre-loaded but not purchased.

EDIT: Its now available through steam for $29.95 (pre-purchase price was $24)

looks neat, but i think i read there are only 7 tracks. well, it said environments which i assumed are tracks.

Never Assume.

There are seven environments, which are essentially different locations. There are (or will) be hundred of custom maps and the like. There are also plenty of stock maps to help you get acclimated to the game
