What kind of mouse...

what kind of mouse should i get..i need a new mouse really badly now......so i hear a lot about the logitechs G5 mouse...should i get that or do u reccomend something else.....

I'm not going to tell you what to get or not to get; I'll tell you what I use.

I use a Logitech MX518 in combination with an icemat. The mouse has the perfect weight to it and it fits my hand just right. In combination with the icemat, the mouse glides across it with no friction. The DPI adjustment works great and let's me change my playing style instantly as needed. The mouse is aging, though, and there are newer products since.

I use a Razer Copperhead. Love it. Best buy ever.

i like the G5 ,have 2 of them, single thumb button. never tried any others . Looking at the G5 with the 2 thumb buttons myself.
Will try the deathadder next month to see what all the hoopla is about.

I'm with Dope, I still use the Logitech mX518. I like the weight, it has a nice curve and helps elevate my long fingers. I'll probably end up with a G5 for the future, but I don't need MORE dpi, I need less.

and I swear to God, if this thread ends up as a Razer/Logitech crapfest, I'll close it and temp ban each person that makes a claim that one mouse is stupider than the other. give your opinion, make your opinion have some weight by describing WHY you like the product, and refrain from commenting on products that you don't like unless you can make a comparative analysis.

and "believe me, dude" is NOT a reasonable analysis.

Razer deathadder. If you do get the DA though most of the new ones have firmware v1.21. Download the v1.10 from the website and install that because when you change polling rate and dpi the new firmware kills your mouse but other then that small headache it's a freaking awesome mouse. And to make Dan happy which I always try to do

The DA fits my hand best.
