The Frostbite engine looks to be good. If you want to get a feel of how Battlefield 3 will be, then check out Bad Company when it's released. It's the same engine. If Battlefield: Bad Company looks good, plays solid, is stable, etc., then I think it will be great. I'm hoping after doing two different engines, they've at least learned better ways to do things.

Is there a point for BF3? CoD4 and Crysis will absolutely dominate it if this is what will be in the game. Why would EA invest in a shit game when they have already in Crysis?

Crysis has been too much of a letdown. Crysis still has a chance to win me over for single player with their demo (whenever it arrives). The MP part of Crysis is a complete failure. The only people that seem to really enjoy it are the people that want to have sex with the game.

Call of Duty 4 is great, yes, and it's due out real soon. BF3 is slated for the end of 2008 apparently. This is about an entire years difference. You can't put them on the same page. Compare it to games that will be out around the same time.

I'm totally juiced for CoD4 but after a year of it BF3 could be coming at a great time. Overall I still like the BF gameplay better then anything else
