Gaming disorder

I think I've got some kind of gaming disorder. I play a new game until I reach the middle of the game, and I stop playing for about 2 months, which after this period I become interested in the game again and actually finish it. I do this to almost every game I get (~4 a month)
Anyone else got this syndrome? :surreal:

Four games a month? Seems to me that you're buying in quantity, not quality. (I'd think one good game comes out every four months)

Im in the same boat, no current games seem to keep my interest for more than a week or 2 at best... I'd kill for a decent MMOG.... (have yet to see anything that holds promise... )

Rather sad really... And now I've gotten to the point where I actually do productive things with my computer time... like... work... And spend time away from my computer?!?! Oh My god what's happening!

I need some serious help guys! LOL

Yeah most games dont last too long for me. I like story-lined games (fps/rpg) but once finished it's bye-bye for at least a year. Unless it has some good multiplayer features.

For instance quake1TF i played for 5 years and same for quake3TF. Planetside I play for almost one year now regularly again (connex sucks from Thailand but I manage)

I agree with hoochimama...

i've been plugging this endlessly, but why not again? try splinter cell 2: pandora tomorrow! if you're playing online my name is peatman. the player base is more mature than the average game, and there aren't too many players so you get to play a game with a few of the same people every now and then. plus, the game is just a hoot to play. the multiplayer, at least.

edit: (it's been holding my attention since release)

I think the last game that kept me going to the end was Grand Theft Auto III
Here's where I am on my current games:

Battlefield Vietnam: 1/3 done, haven't played for a week
Jedi Academy: 1/4 done, haven't played for a week
Painkiller: Halfway done, on hold because of new games
Desert Combat: Bored of it
Rainbow Six 3: Acquired 4 days ago, 1/4 done, currently playing
C&C Generals: Acquired yesterday, played first level

You could try PlanetSide as an online game. Sure it ain't RPG but it's FPS!!

If you can get your hands on the game from someone, I can give you a free ten day trial key

the trick is to control yourself enough and say that you wont buy another game until you finish your current one.

I keep hearing about how good UO was, was it UO's pvp system that made it better than the current mmorpg systems?
