Let Us Put An End To Violent Games Like Doom 3

I'm disappointed. I wish there were more interactivity in Doom 3 where you can talk to characters in more detail and there was less the standard shooter, but rather that it was a mix of shooter RPG where you can talk to character, and monsters, and have the option to make them your friends. To make peace with your enemies. After all, isn't that a better way? Oh, if we could only learn to compromise with the legions of demons invading Mars, Then, it would make the world a more peaceful place. Think of it. Our enemies and allies at peace! Oh, this game has such violence. I am appalled and outraged. Where is the love? What about love, people? Have the game-makers forgotten about that? I thought that "next generation" games meant that we evolved in our standard of kill first ask question later mentality. Shoot, then Kill? No, my friends. Nay. This is not the way nor the path to righteousness. Let us end the violence.

Do you really believe in the end of violence?

Don't you think that If we were such a loving species we would have made peace by now?...how many millenia has it been since the dawn of violence? I've lost count

Like the dose of morphine, love provides us with great comfort from the pains of life but take too much of it and our system grows immune to its effect and we have to take other avenues to quell the pain...violence.

Yes, violence like love is a human remedy for pain. The need for both has not changed since the beginning of man but the technology available to manifest violence clearly has. Question is how far can we push it outdside the boundaries of nature before we self-destruct?

I say game on dude while you still can :dude: :dude: :dude:

WTF? Deus Ex may satisfy your needs, since its considered a shooter rpg. Doom by its nature is an action game with horror elements.

There are plenty of games like that. You can pick them up for $3.99-9.99 in discount rack at BestBuy.

If violence offends you, don't buy the game.

They're zombies. You don't make peace with zombies. You make pieces of zombies. When I'm trapped in a dark, alien place, all of my comrades are dead, and every moving object I see is trying to kill me, pardon me if I'm not quite in the mood for making friends.

Besides, there are already games like what you describe. Give us our gore-fest.

idiotboy, you're such a little troll! without violence, we wouldn't have video games. No one would buy them. And yeah, try talking to a zombie running at you, mouth dripping with blood ... "Peace, brother! I mean you no ... *screams of agony and utmost horror* ..."
